Pastor Gregory Jones, Sr

Gregory Jones, Sr. is the Pastor and Founder of The Place of Refuge Church Ministries INC. located in Goldsboro, N.C. He is married to Brenda Horton Jones, a marriage of 47 years. Their marriage has produced 5 children and 12 grandchildren. Pastor Jones is known as a man of integrity, of the Word, and Faith. He was rebuilt and reformed to return to the very streets of Goldsboro wherein he once called home to serve as a testimony of what God can do in the life of a willing vessel! He’s attended varies biblical institutions of learning: Tabernacle Bible Institute, presently Tabernacle University where he became Dean of College. He has a BA degree of Theology from Jameson Christian College and 30 hours towards a Master of Theology Degree at Norfolk Va. Tabernacle Christian College. He further has a Certificate Of Completion from the “American Association of Christian Counselors.”

After over twenty-one years of kingdom service and loyalty, Pastor Jones planted POR Ministries in August 1998. He has served under some of God’s greatest ambassadors. The late Apostle Lawrence Bogier, Pastor Joseph Williams, years of mentorship under Bishop I.V. Hilliard of New Light Christian Center, Association of Independent Ministries. He is presently under the covering of K.F.C.M. Koinonia Fellowship of Church Ministries, under the mentorship of Bishop Rosie S. O’Neal in Greenville, N.C. Pastor Jones continues to lead P.O.R. Ministries. Along with the assistance of faithful partners and committed staff, Pastor Jones is equipped to impact the surrounding areas for the cause and glory of God.
